Job description

A U.S.-based edtech company that is determined to revolutionize the industry and have a lasting impact on the minds of young students is looking for a Senior Full-Stack RoR/PHP Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of designing effective strategies and helping the team to develop a robust product roadmap. The company is determined to help students meet their educational and learning goals by tapping into the power of advanced modern technology. The company has managed to successfully secure more than $100 mn during their Series C round of funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST and EST time zones. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product and design teams to enhance the user experience 
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build new and scalable features 
  • Brainstorm with the team to develop new code
  • Craft robust, well-documented, and clean codes 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails 
  • Prolific experience in PHP and AWS (especially RDS and Redis)
  • Nice to have experience in HTML and CSS
  • Demonstrable experience in JavaScript
  • Prior experience in Nginx
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
