Job description

A US-based company providing live online classes to students of all ages and helping them gain access to fun and engaging ways to learn is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidates will be tasked with driving the development of new features and projects within the platform. The company offers hand-picked, highly customizable coaching sessions with personal teachers on their live learning platform. The company has securely raised more than $100mn in funding during their Series C round. This role requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve customers' problems in quick iterations
  • Innovate, recommend and implement new solutions/technologies for improvements
  • Build scalable, low latency, and highly performant services
  • Maintain and execute end-to-end web architecture
  • Communicate clearly and effectively amongst team members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Familiarity with AWS and related technologies like Serverless, Lambda, EC2, S3, Dynamo, and RDS
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Python, Golang, Node.js, K8S, and Docker 
  • Fluency in English communication
