Job description

A rapidly expanding, US-based company specializing in connecting customers with experienced contractors and offering convenient scheduling and home repair services at a reasonable price is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be tasked with producing bug-free, faster user experiences and responsive UI/UX within estimated deadlines. The company provides customers with expert and experienced craftsmen who can help with various small to medium-sized projects. This will be a full-time position that requires some overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the unit tests are written, executed, and passed before deployment
  • Make sure that the final product matches the mockups and designs
  • Verify that the projects are 100% bug-free by maximum 2 days after release
  • Make sure that the daily progress reports and demos are provided to the team
  • Ensure that API endpoint documentation is complete with descriptions and examples
  • Make sure that the “Readable” code contains commented business logic
  • Exceed modern web standards while shipping products swiftly
  • Establish that the products are lightweight and optimized for tethered, mobile internet connections
  • Make sure that the products perform consistently across all desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Ensure that the production bugs are resolved immediately at priority by fixing the underlying issue and not band-aid fixes that only resolve the current situation
  • Work extensively on source control and deployment
  • Maintain and promote “One-click deployments”
  • Compile with zero errors and adhere to a “commit often” strategy
  • Work on dependencies and third-party libraries
  • Ensure that the libraries and third-party services are reviewed regularly to evaluate available upgrades and schedule them accordingly

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Prolific experience working with React, AWS, Lambda, and SQL
  • Prior experience working with Jenkins and Twilio
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal and documentation skills
