Job description

A U.S.-based company that has managed to successfully launch a chain of world-class fitness clubs and gyms, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for effectively communicating technical concepts to stakeholders that are both technical and non-technical. The company is on a mission to create an inclusive community and gym environment that will help people reach their personal goals. The company has managed to secure more than $20.8mn+ in funding so far. This position requires a significant overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and fix technological problems as soon as possible to ensure platform uptime and quick support for the gym locations
  • Work closely with the current team to enable effective collaboration and prompt communication
  • In order to ensure seamless integration and effective operation of all interconnected systems, lead and manage the development, maintenance, and upgrade of the organization's cloud platform
  • Show proficiency in PHP/Laravel, React JS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS in order to contribute to practical programming and problem-solving activities in an efficient manner
  • Oversee the specialized cloud platform that links to and interfaces with Hubspot CRM, third-party mobile applications, specialized middleware, and member management systems
  • Assist in developing, managing, and mentoring a future group of outstanding developers, offering advice and assistance to less-experienced programmers to improve their abilities and output
  • Plan and carry out development projects, making sure they are finished on time and at a high standard
  • Comprehend requirements by offering technical insights, and promoting successful solutions while working closely with a range of teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end developer
  • At least 8+ years of experience as a Technical Lead while managing complex cloud-based integrations and projects
  • Prolific experience working with Laravel, PHP, AWS, and DevOps
  • In-depth knowledge of React, HTML, and CSS
  • Extensive experience working with AWS technologies like EC2, S3, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Search, AWS Certificate Manager, Route53, and Application Load Balancer
  • Prior experience effectively mentoring and managing a team of developers
  • Some understanding of 3rd Party APIs and Libraries is desirable
  • Nice to have some knowledge of React
  • Working knowledge of third-party connectors and CRM platforms like Hubspot is preferred
  • Outstanding organizing abilities and an acute sense of detail
  • Demonstrable experience leading a team 
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
