Job description

A fast-growing company that is building a digital/adaptive production system that aims to radically transform the impact of auto manufacturing economics and environment is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Back-End-Focused Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of developing a scalable and performant back-end architecture while working closely with the existing team. The US-based company is creating revolutionary solutions by using a data-driven approach for designing and building vehicle structures. The company has managed to secure $85mn+ in funding during their Series C round. This will be a long-term, full-time position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • DAPS data services must be owned and managed
  • Collaborate with teams to design, implement, and document new APIs
  • Maintain high availability and security standards
  • Collaboration with other developers, designers, and cross-functional team members is essential
  • DAPS data services should be tested and improved in terms of data reliability and performance metrics

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end developer
  • Must have experience with Angular/React, OpenGL/WebGL, CAD/CAM API, and PLM systems 
  • Familiarity with both GraphQL and RESTful API services is a must
  • Experience working with both relational and non-relational data stores is required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment and developing quick prototypes is preferred
  • Experience with database performance tuning and reliability testing
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript is nice to have
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Self-starting and detail-oriented personality
  • Strong academic foundation alongside hands-on experience
  • Comfortable making important decisions with limited oversight
  • Fast and efficient, and able to quickly turn around small features and functionality
  • Effective written communication and interpersonal skills
