Job description

A US-based company providing strategic transportation solutions to businesses in order to promote key stakeholders in the logistics ecosystem is looking for a Senior Data Scientist. The selected candidate will be working with the Route Optimization team and must have prior experience working with route optimization algorithms. The company is assembling the brightest minds in technology, data science, engineering, and freight transportation. This is an exciting opportunity for developers who enjoy working in a team-oriented, startup-like environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, build, and design solutions with a mental note of future requirements 
  • Analyze website performance and drive improvements 
  • Coordinate with the development team to manage fixes and code changes
  • Analyze and enhance the performance of the applications
  • Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Proven track record of Data Science expertise using Python
  • Extensive experience with Machine Learning, SQL, and Algorithm and Data Structures
  • Experience with graph algorithms and graph databases
  • Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
  • High-level knowledge of SQL databases and third party API’s
  • Excellent ability to think analytically with solid business acumen
  • Outstanding math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra) and problem-solving abilities 
  • Profound communication and presentation skills
  • Sound English proficiency is a must
