Senior Backend Engineer

A rapidly-growing, US-based firm that aims to help companies build the safest workplace environment through its AI-based security intelligence and analysis system, is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the ideation, development, testing, and evaluation of the firm’s product. The company harnesses the power of AI to provide more consolidated and accurate security footage for investigative reviews. The company has managed to raise over $4mn in funding so far. This will be a full-time position and requires some overlap with the CET time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and features 
• Assist product and engineering teams (especially front-end engineers)
• Work on optimizing and increasing the efficiency of platforms for faster execution and resolve scalability related problems
• Deploy best protocols for implementing security and data protection features
• Work on experimenting, designing and developing APIs, data storage solutions and plenty of other engineering projects

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Must possess at least 5 years of experience working with Python 
• Well-versed with Linux and similar platforms for coding
• Strong understanding and professional experience of working with distributed systems like Docker container, Compose, etc.
• Prior experience of working with Kafka  or RabbitMQ 
• Strong experience of working in a cloud environment like AWS or Azure
• Should be able to optimize and fine-tune product experience 
• Nice to have some experience working with on-prem applications
• Prior experience of working with C#, React, and RESTful APIs will be an added advantage
