A fast-growing company providing perfect gifting experience at a reasonable price is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join the growing team. The engineer will be responsible for solving scalability issues by optimizing the platform for faster execution, integrating front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities, and more. The company has created a seamless, one-of-a-kind experience to help make anyone's day from coast to coast. It has raised $47.2mn in funding so far. Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Collaborate with product teams & front-end engineers
  • Solve scalability issues by optimizing the platform for faster execution
  • Implement security & data protection practices
  • Experiment, design & build APIs, data storage solutions & other engineering projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science(or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a back-end engineer
  • Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript 
  • Experience with Python, Java or C#
  • Fluent in both SQL (i.e. MySQL and PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (such as MongoDB, DynamoDB or Redis) database technologies
  • Experienced in building distributed systems and deploying them on the cloud platforms
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, and Kinesis or equivalents is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
