Job description

A well-established company that specializes in offering state-of-the-art legal advice by using AI-powered apps to streamline difficult legal processes, is looking for a Senior Back-End-Heavy Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer should be competent in front-end React.js development as well as advanced server-side feature development with Node.js and TypeScript. The company is transforming the industry with their innovative solutions by providing high-impact solutions that will shape the future of legal AI tech. This position requires some Australia/APAC time zone overlap.

Job Responsibilities:

Create and implement stable server-side apps using TypeScript, mainly in Node.js, with a focus on security and maintainability
With a heavy emphasis on user experience, develop, test, and manage features while utilizing a thorough understanding of React.js for front-end integration
Make use of Prisma ORM for efficient database administration, and design OpenAI-optimized prompts to improve application capabilities
Assure the performance and scalability of the program while staying up to date on technological advancements and making changes
Push the boundaries of artificial intelligence in the legal profession while upholding the highest standards of application development.
Assist the engineering team in troubleshooting and solving complicated problems while upholding strict requirements for testing and coding quality

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or front-end engineer
Extensive experience in Node.js and TypeScript
Strong front-end skill set, including knowledge of React.js and an excellent eye for creating user-friendly UX/UI designs
Proven proficiency with Prisma ORM and the ability to create engaging prompts for applications with OpenAI
Previous experience with developing Microsoft Word add-ons, using graphics tools like D3.js or Chart.js, and Railway is preferred
Ability to create thorough tests and have excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the goal of supporting a senior-level engineering role
Fluent in spoken and written English
