Job description

A fast-scaling company that is currently operating in stealth mode while building world-class solutions that will revolutionize the technology industry, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be working in close collaboration with the CTO to help spec out the appropriate back-end stack and technologies that meet the company’s requirements. The company's advanced platform enables users to quickly build powerful internal dashboards on top of smart contracts. This will be a full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and own backend infrastructure that is extremely scalable and trustworthy
  • Clearly document procedures and code while communicating requirements with concerned stakeholders
  • Continually enhance the engineering systems, methods, and tools that enable the platform to scale the team, the code base, and the productivity
  • Plan and lead complicated technical projects while working with cross-functional teams

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with NodeJS, Flask, SQL, and NoSQL
  • Prolific experience with DevOps technologies like Docker, AWS, or other similar cloud platforms
  • Extensive experience building highly available and scalable systems
  • In-depth knowledge and experience balancing speed and quality of implementations
  • Prior experience working in a startup setting and building from scratch
  • Nice to have some full-stack experience and the ability to jump into front-end technologies when required
  • Prior experience building in web3 or having worked at a web3 company is desirable
  • Solid understanding of smart contracts, subgraphs, and Dune analytics is preferred
  • Familiarity with logging platforms and bug-tracking technologies like Datadog is nice to have
  • Ability to write good internal and external documentation
  • Fluent in written and conversational English
