Job description

A U.S.-based company developing an innovative nightlife application that enables users to plan their evening entertainment is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for iterating fast based on user feedback while also performing peer code reviews. Customers can access and reserve table service through the company's platform, buy presale tickets, and register for guest lists. The company has managed to secure $480K+ in funding so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the engineering and product teams to develop new features and enhancements
  • Triage/resolve bugs to increase platform stability
  • Using a data-driven approach, drive architectural changes across the product
  • Actively document, run experiments, and mentor junior engineers 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience working on consumer-facing software products/apps
  • Demonstrable experience working with mobile and web applications
  • Prolific experience in REST APIs, Python/Flask, MySQL, and third-party API integrations
  • High technical credibility and the ability to audit technical decisions
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
