Job description

A well-meaning platform that is out to help businesses grow faster and work smarter is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. As an engineer, you will leverage your professional experience and deep understanding of technology to work on the initial development, technical troubleshooting, and product releases. The platform focuses on helping businesses to implement cutting-edge technologies like intelligent automation, digital assistants, AI, etc., and is fast becoming a strong contender with top brands like Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, and several others. This is an excellent opportunity for the selected candidate to work as a key member of the engineering team while collaborating with product owners to advance technical projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet technical issues head-on, troubleshoot, and quickly create resolution plans that are timely and efficient
  • Participate in an engineering culture of accountability and teamwork using the laid out software development life-cycle and coding standards
  • Work with back-end architects and write tests to ensure a maintainable and scalable software and codebase
  • Design a solution architecture that meets today’s needs and can scale with growth
  • Partner with the product team to design feasible features, give feedback to create measurable tickets, and work closely with tech leads to deliver working code
  • Work with the front-end engineering team lead(s) to ensure the back-end fulfills the needs of the user
  • Creating personal growth goals and discussions around career advancement paths
  • Conduct regular code audits to enhance the codebase

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant back-end engineering experience
  • Familiarity with AWS, using Python (Django) as an API layer, Postgres, and Elasticsearch
  • Understand the working mechanism of Kafka on the back-end and React (Redux) on the front-end
  • Excited to work with a brilliant, fun team and perform challenging work that matters
  • Have an excellent start-up culture and poise to be a difference maker
  • Fluency in English
