Job description

A U.S.-based company developing an efficient employee referral software for hourly workers is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for enhancing the platform and maintaining an optimal level of productivity. The company is developing a revolutionary product that offers a simple way for employees to recruit their own network. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make important technical decisions after wisely assessing the situation and obstacles
  • Create scalable stacks that are adequately documented
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade the application using a comprehensive, test-oriented strategy
  • Work on creating scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Node.js, Typescript, React, and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Express.js is nice to have
  • Ability to work well in an independent as well as a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written English communication
