Job description

A US-based company that is putting together a well-coordinated team of futuristic and skilled business leaders, technologists, and healthcare professionals, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for incorporating front-end elements with server-side logic and capabilities. The company uses sensors and machine learning technologies to actively monitor patient life signals and identify rising acuity in order to respond proactively to trying to prevent avoidable adverse occurrences. This will be a long-term role that requires some overlap with the IST/EST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, and create continuous delivery pipelines
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionality
  • Collaborate effectively with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and develop innovative solutions
  • Troubleshoot and upgrade the application by taking a comprehensive, test-driven approach

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 4+ years of experience with designing, developing, and maintaining APIs
  • Knowledge of GCP, Java, and API Gateway
  • Familiarity with Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Endpoints
  • Experience with Pub/Sub and BigQuery
  • Experience with unit test writing
  • Strong object-oriented background, defaulting to design patterns
  • Experience with BDD scenarios testing
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/ Typescript
  • Strong object-oriented background, defaulting to design patterns
  • Proficiency in English
