Senior Back-End Engineer

A rapidly-growing sports and digital entertainment platform on a mission to revolutionize the entertainment industry is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be expected to produce thoroughly tested and high-quality services. Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that everything is designed not only for the present but also for future growth
• Deliver great solutions that have proven to meet the needs of Product managers and designers, as well as colleagues in Support and Operations
• Be responsible for the gaming products, making sure they are highly resilient, extremely low latency, and scalable to a massive volume
• Take responsibility for your own testing as well as the overall quality of your output
• Ensure testing is done quickly, frequently, and effectively
• Verify that everything is working as it should and look for problems to solve
• Always strive to improve the solution
• Make certain that you have excellent and up-to-date technical and use case documentation
• Assist in the onboarding and training of less experienced team members
• Engage with other teams and users throughout the company to understand how to improve and expand the platform's capabilities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
• 5+ years of experience in production software engineering and delivery is a must
• 3+ years working on distributed, high-volume transactional systems is required
• Must have an expert level understanding of C#, SQL Server, REST, and GIT, plus ideally good experience with .Net Core 
• 2+ years working with messaging technologies (preferably Kafka) and with cloud-based implementations (preferably Azure) is a must
• Strong experience working with both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies is essential 
• Experience working with remote teams is required
• Experience with hyper-growth start-ups is a huge plus
• Experience working with containerization technologies is nice to have
• Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and quickly pick up new skill sets 
• A passion for detail and problem-solving, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
