Job description

A fast-growing company that uses the power of cutting-edge sensors and artificial intelligence to help people live better lives and provide self-care assistance, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, release, and maintenance of core features. The company aims to serve the elderly or people living with health challenges and help them live their best lives. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the EST/IST time zones. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a dynamic user interface for clients 
  • Build scalable engineering solutions in collaboration with product and engineering teams
  • Convert wireframes and prototypes into back-end code
  • Develop scalable products and contribute to their design and development
  • As bugs or other coding issues develop, test and repair them

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs
  • Demonstrable experience with Cloud Dataflow/Functions/Endpoints
  • Extensive experience working with API Gateways, BigQuery, GCP, API GAteway, and Pub/Sub
  • Strong object-oriented background, defaulting to design patterns
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Prior experience with REST APIs testing and BDD scenarios testing
  • Proficiency with Java and JavaScript/Typescript
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
