Job description

A US-based company on a mission to bring revolutionary sustainable technology to the transportation industry is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with troubleshooting and removing bugs from the applications and improving performance. The NASDAQ-listed company is leveraging the power of technology to design and manufacture scalable and sustainable automobiles. So far, the company has successfully raised $10.5bn+ in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall application development lifecycle
  • Work closely with front-end developers, testers, QA leads, and PMs to deliver robust applications
  • Help define and communicate technical and design requirements
  • Work with high-quality, easy to test, efficient, and reusable codes
  • Develop sustainable and intuitive web applications implement clean coding standards
  • Perform UI tests to optimize applications and provide enhanced performance
  • Implement the latest security and data protection best practices
  • Develop efficient data storage solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers across all development stages

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in working with Python and/or Node
  • Professional experience in working with technologies like GraphQL, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
  • Understanding technologies like Apollo or Typescript will be beneficial
  • Ability to migrate services from monolith to serverless platforms will be helpful
  • Understanding of DevOps processes like AWS CDK, Gitlab
