Job description

A US-based company building a live-learning platform to help users meet their educational goals is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be working with a wide range of systems and technologies and solving problems from end to end. The platform connects students and professionals with personalized instruction to help them achieve their goal. They have managed to raise $100mn+ in funding during their Series C round. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate reusable code libraries for future implementation
  • Evaluate and gather business requirements, advocate for best practices and deliver results within the team 
  • Improve the engineering processes to increase team effectiveness
  • Develop easily scalable, responsive, and detailed stacks
  • Participate in code review and collaborate with other engineers on code review feedback

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and AWS
  • Effortlessly collaborate with engineering managers
  • Fluent in written and spoken English communication
