Job description

A US-based company leveraging the power of technology to build an innovative B2B healthcare payments platform is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of planning, designing, and executing end-to-end web architecture. The startup is in stealth mode and aims to revolutionize the industry by providing patients with better health outcomes at affordable prices. This is a full-time, long-term position that requires a significant overlap with the EST time zone.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, readable codes, perform unit and integration tests, troubleshoot and fix bugs, and deliver high-quality solutions 
  • Architect cloud infrastructure and API integrations from scratch
  • Spin up the tech stack and lead DevOps for a growing engineering team
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
  • Implement CI/CD processes, and set code quality standards for the company
  • Partner on roadmaps, timelines, and technical strategy
  • Build a scalable back-end with security best practices at the core

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Python, SQL, DevOps, and Cloud Architecture like AWS or GCP
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Cloud Security and Machine Learning
  • Familiarity with React/React Native and Flask-RESTful is desirable
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills 
  • Excellent management and organizational skills
