Job description

A fast-growing startup that is determined to help warehouses and factories to improve the safety and reliability of their industrial vehicle fleets, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate should be capable of determining the primary cause for the most complex software issues and developing practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. The US-based company is leveraging the benefits offered by automation and safety to play a transformational role in the future of material handling. The company has managed to raise more than $6.5mn in funding during their Series A round. This will be a full-time role and a great opportunity for developers to work closely with industry veterans.

Job Responsibilities:

Help develop and maintain all server-side network components
Ensure optimal performance of central databases and responsiveness to front-end requests
Collaborate with front-end developers to manage integrations of elements
Write efficient Mongo queries for interacting with databases for optimized responses
Configure effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions
Run diagnostics to identify errors, repair defects, and provide technical support
Develop documentation for Node.js processes, including database schemas, and prepare reports
Suggest and implement improvements to processes and technologies
Build performant applications using testable, reusable, and efficient codes

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of development experience with 4+ years specializing in Node.js with Express and MongoDB
Deep understanding of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
Well-versed with database technologies like MongoDB, Postgres, and MySQL
Should possess expertise in deploying hosted applications in the cloud using GCP, AWS, or other alternatives
Professional experience working with large data sets, developing data analytics and dashboards for enterprise application
Must possess an exceptionally analytical and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills and great product sense
Be committed to building products and capable of managing workload with minimal supervision
Must embrace the startup culture and be willing to be challenged with complex issues
