Job description

A leading sports and digital entertainment platform using innovative technology to bring game-changing revolution to the industry is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the gaming products are highly resilient, extremely low latency, and scalable to massive volume. The company is dedicated to solving the hardest problems to bring sports fans unrivaled digital sports and gaming entertainment experiences. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a first-class customer experience
  • Share the teams’ passion for automation and producing thoroughly tested and high-quality services
  • Help drive the company’s success
  • Play a crucial role in taking the company’s products to the next level
  • Ensure that everything is designed for the long-term growth of the company 
  • Deliver great solutions that are proven to meet the needs of Product Managers and Designers, as well as the Support and Operations team
  • Work closely with the Product Managers to design, build, deliver and run our gaming platforms and products
  • Be accountable for the testing and overall quality of the output
  • Ensure that the testing happens fast, frequently, and effectively 
  • Check that everything is working as expected and solve problems to constantly improve the solution 
  • Document everything and ensure that the company has top-class and up to date technical and use case documentation 
  • Mentor, coach, support, and help onboard and train the less experienced members of the team 
  • Collaborate and engage with other teams and users across the company to identify ways to improve and build upon the capabilities of the platform

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as a back-end engineer
  • 3+ years of experience working on distributed, high-volume transactional systems 
  • Proficiency in C#, SQL Server, REST, and GIT
  • Nice to have some experience with .NETCore 
  • At least 2 years working with messaging technologies like Kafka and with cloud-based implementations like Azure
  • Strong database experience is essential 
  • Experience working with containerization technologies would be nice to have
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to pick up new skill sets quickly 
  • Must have extensive problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Solid understanding of the modern architectural and engineering practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Remote working and hyper-growth startup experience is desirable
