Job description

A fast-scaling platform that implements a proven early learning program to ensure the greatest possible educational start is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be joining a growing team and must have prior multi-platform development experience on mobile and web. The company offers individualized, enjoyable, and proven learning solutions to make learning more interesting and inventive for toddlers. This is a nice opportunity to join a growing team building a portfolio of early learning products that support learning everywhere.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level systems design, development, and support like Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS
  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to translate customer needs into technical specifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs
  • Work with 3rd party platforms and perform integrations (authentication, analytics, attribution, etc.)
  • Develop front-end web pages for marketing, accounts, dashboards (HTML, CSS)
  • Help maintain software, fix bugs, and release updates
  • Architect and implement support tools
  • Create and deploy support tools along with automating various manual tasks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Design, create, and support systems at a senior level like Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS
  • Collaborate closely with the product and marketing teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs
  • Sound knowledge of cloud concepts and hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (Route53, EC2, S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS)
  • Familiarity with front-end web pages for marketing, accounts, dashboards (HTML, CSS) 
  • Assist in the maintenance of software, the correction of bugs, and the distribution of updates
  • Possess critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative learning through coding
