Job description

A fast-growing cloud-native platform transforming the automotive retail industry is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing and building solutions for complex business workflows. The company specializes in creating elegant, intuitive solutions built with cutting-edge technology powered by Big Data, ML/AIoT, and more. The candidate will join the team to invent a new technology, overcome barriers and solve big problems while having fun. This is a full-time, long-term role requiring an 8-hour overlap with IST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the user persona and deliver a great experience
  • Take end to end ownership of components and be responsible for the subsystems that you work on 
  • Engage in code design, testing, integration, deployment, and enhancements
  • Write high-quality code and take responsibility for tasks
  • Solve performance bottlenecks
  • Communicate and collaborate with management, product, QA, and UI/UX teams
  • Deliver with quality, on-time in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Be a role model for young engineers and mentor them, have a strong sense of code quality, and enforce code quality within the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills
  • Experience in building and scaling microservices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting, and diagnosing
  • Solid knowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
  • Experience in developing back-ends for enterprise systems like e-commerce, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.
  • Knowledge of debugging performance and optimization techniques
  • Experience in Java, Mongo, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring boot, Kafka
  • Good knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
