Job description

A U.S- based company that is revolutionizing the real estate market by providing the best-in-class app that handles everything for its clients is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating caching models for complicated reporting purposes. The company’s app provides an option to create prospect lists, manage the entire sales pipeline as well as create marketing campaigns.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the database structure with millions of property records
  • SQL queries should be written and optimized to maximize performance and deliverability
  • Create and test new API endpoints and refactor existing routes to improve performance and scalability
  • Create caching models for complex reporting needs
  • Where possible, migrate core functions to microservices
  • Recommend and implement architectural enhancements to allow applications to scale and add new functionality
  • Collaborate closely with the product and UX teams to define new features
  • Manage a pipeline of features, enhancements, and bugs while adhering to agile development principles through bi-weekly sprints

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience with PHP and Laravel
  • 5+ years of experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Apache, NGINX, HAProxy, and/or OpenResty
  • Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
  • Experience using Linux systems
  • Experience with AWS is nice to have
  • Experience working with large amounts of frequently updated data and designing efficient schemas is nice to have
  • Understanding of common web vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Good English communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
