Job description

A fast-growing company building an innovative platform that rewards users for living a healthy lifestyle is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with maintaining a highly-scalable production environment. The early-stage startup focuses on developing health cards that earn rewards for users through healthy purchases with the ability to access perks to match their lifestyle. This is a nice opportunity for developers who enjoy building relevant products in a dynamic environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and insights from multiple sources and draw informed conclusions
  • Maintain, update, refactor and debug new and existing codes
  • Serve as an expert within your area of competence and provide technical support when necessary
  • Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
  • Keep pace with the market by staying on top of trends and apply the knowledge in scaling software systems
  • Build a high performant team and help guide junior members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience working with Python 
  • Hands-on experience in back-end software development
  • Demonstrable experience building services and performing third-party integrations with Python
  • Experience in building and supporting production-grade consumer applications with a modern web technology stack
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and tackle complex challenges
  • Prior experience working in the fintech industry 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
