Job description

A US-based video-conference platform that is on a mission to improve company culture, engagement, and productivity within businesses is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with designing, developing, reviewing, and testing applications while working collaboratively with a cross-functional team. The platform hosts online activities and virtual events that are designed to encourage productivity, participation, and enjoyment. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the CST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Add new features to the app
  • Participate in all stages of the application development process, with a focus on coding and debugging.
  • To create functional applications, write clean code
  • Debug and troubleshoot programs
  • Work with front-end developers to connect user-facing elements to server-side logic
  • Compile a list of technical and design needs and solve them
  • Create programs and libraries that can be reused in the future
  • To identify new features, collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers
  • Security and data protection are being implemented
  • Data storage solution design and implementation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a back-end developer
  • Expertise in node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, REST APIs, and firebase is required
  • Knowledge of non-SQL databases and SQL databases is a must
  • Nice to have architecture design experience
