Job description

An emerging Fintech company that is revolutionizing the industry by solving complex fund infrastructure is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for architecting systems that give the company a leg up on the competition. The company's next-gen technology enables users and organizations to raise pools of capital and manage ongoing fund administration. This role requires an extensive overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of back-end engineers in improving and developing new business features and products
  • Create web service APIs, data structures, and business logic in Rails
  • Create data and schema migrations 
  • Write high-quality code for new features and systems and deliver them on time
  • Collaborate with the Product team to ensure that deliverables are correctly scoped and scheduled
  • Identify and implement query, API, and infrastructure performance tuning optimizations
  • Conduct code reviews and serve as a mentor to other team members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4-10+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Proficient with Ruby on Rails and related technologies
  • Extensive experience designing APIs
  • Prior working experience developing Lambda functions like Java and Node.js
  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and AWS is desirable
  • Some FinTech or Finance experience is nice to have
