Job description

A fast-growing, VC-backed fintech company that is spearheading the industry's transition to digital, contactless payments, is looking for a Senior Back-end Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering medium to large projects while defining and delivering the company’s goals and roadmap. The company's end-to-end payment network is building a customer experience unlike any other and is providing a new payment option for the logistics industry. The company has managed to raise $40mn+ in funding so far. This will be a full-time role that requires some overlap with the EET/PST/EST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, documented, and well-tested codes 
  • Write full suite of automated tests with latest features and fix bugs to overcome scalability issues 
  • Evaluate and articulate end-to-end designs for strengths and weaknesses 
  • Ensure the implementation of pair programming and provide thoughtful feedback in code reviews
  • Identify problems and make recommendations on how to tackle them
  • Act as a mentor and help engineers and cross-functional teams to understand and comply with industry standards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Demonstrable skills and experience with Golang and SQL
  • Strong engineering principles, dependency inversions, etc. 
  • Solid understanding and familiarity with infrastructure
  • Comfortable working across both back and front-end stacks to deliver solutions end-to-end
  • Experience building and consuming APIs
  • Experience working with automated testing and implementing good testing practices
  • Prior experience working on a project or as a tech lead 
  • Excellent problem solving and time-management skills
