Job description

A US-based educational platform connecting teachers and students and providing convenient, fun, safe, and affordable student lessons, is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for maintaining the APIs, planning and developing new project features and functions. The company’s best-in-class technology solution enables students to read reviews efficiently, message, call instructors, and make educated decisions. This full-time position requires at least 4-6 hours overlap with the CST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the GraphQL API
  • Plan, develop, and deploy new lambda functions and project features 
  • Deliver clear, bug-free, and tested code
  • Analyze, recommend and initiate constant improvements
  • Guide the business with sound technical expertise in the areas of architecture, design, implementation, and testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end or full-stack developer
  • Core competency in Node.js, GraphQL, and Python
  • Experience in developing APIs
  • Demonstrable skills in JavaScript, MongoDB, Mongoose, and AWS Lambda
  • Nice to have some experience with Serverless technology
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
