Job description

A well-established company that is helping enterprises streamline their wholesale operations is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be responsible for finding bottlenecks and increasing the effectiveness of the software. The company is on a mission to close the gap between global retailers and brands in emerging areas by creating a B2B e-commerce marketplace. This position requires 3+ hours of overlap with the GST (Dubai) time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and implement an RBAC system from the existing user system, ensuring a smooth transition and robust security management.
Lead the migration of our Node.js JavaScript project to TypeScript, enhancing code maintainability and performance.
Tackle system migrations effectively and address coupling issues during the integration of different software components.
Develop new scalable microservices, contributing to the evolution of our software architecture and improving system resilience.
Collaborate closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to drive project success and ensure alignment with company goals.
Maintain a commitment to writing clean, well-structured code following best practices.
Conduct thorough testing using Jest to ensure reliability and robustness of all software developments.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
A minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in full-stack development.
Proficiency in Node.js and NestJS, backed by a very strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Demonstrated experience with both MongoDB and MySQL databases.
Proven track record in building and scaling new microservices.
Experience with utilizing Jest for testing purposes.
Familiarity with the concepts of Authorization and Authentication within software systems.
A clear understanding of clean code principles and their application in a fast-paced development environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both business executives and the technical lead, with the ability to drive projects forward.
