Job description

A rapid-growing, Australia-based, medical and health platform is looking to hire a Senior Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for understanding the company mission, vision, and end-user requirements to build dynamic features and improve the website's performance. The company is working to ease the lives of millions of people by providing evidence-based pain-management programs for chronic pain patients. The company aims to provide guidance and medical insight for symptom management and improve their customer’s quality of life. If you’re someone who is passionate about working with a business that impacts people’s lives, this is a great opportunity for you. The company is looking for 5+ hours overlap with Melbourne Time.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively take ownership of the products and features you’re working with
  • Understand company goals and work towards achieving them with minimal oversight
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources and develop pipelines to clean and process them for easier understanding
  • Establish code standards and conduct regular code reviews
  • Collaborate with other teams and members to brainstorm new innovations and ideas
  • Establish communication with various teams to identify end-user needs and translate them into technological solutions
  • Provide technical support for others and stay in touch with new developments in the tech world

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Back-End or Full-Stack Developer 
  • Proficiency with NodeJS, REST, and GraphQL
  • Expertise in DevOps, AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Previous experience with SQL, Databases, Serverless, and Microservices
  • Nice to possess experience in cross-platform mobile application
  • Familiarity with one SPA, React/VUE/Angular would be a plus
  • Passion to rise and work in a high-paced startup environment
  • Great written and verbal English communication skills
