Job description

A US-based startup aimed at easing the process to acquire and understand energy resulting in a more efficient ecosystem and sustainable planet, is looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer. The developer will be contributing to the development and maintenance of new features on the roadmap. The company's revolutionary technology helps clients sell energy and related services to businesses through automated customer management and bid response processes that bring energy brokers and suppliers together. The company has secured $1.2 mn+ worth of funding so far. This will be a full-time, long-term role that will require an overlap of 4+ hours with the CST/PST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of new features and the transformation of the OCR engine
  • Build and maintain products to scale
  • Contribute to building and refining the ML engine through the data labeling and other key protocols
  • Implement and modify features while inputting technical solutions and implementing new functionalities
  • Comprehend and impact the product vision to translate business goals into well-defined strategic plans
  • Implement and modify features, while coming up with technical solutions for the future roadmap

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years relevant experience building and supporting web applications as a full-stack engineer at all points in the software lifecycle 
  • Deep understanding of Angular, JavaScript, Angular, and Python
  • Prior working experience with AWS Cloud
  • Experience with serverless technologies is a plus
  • Proficiency with development tools (Postman, VS Code, Github Actions)
  • Familiarity with design tools like Sketch, Figma, Invision, and Zeplin
  • Experience working directly with multiple stakeholders on the implementation of designs
  • Ability to develop data-heavy applications for users to interact and engage with large volumes of information  
  • Familiarity and best practices with data visualization
  • Deep expertise in security operations, build automation, and cloud is nice to have
  • Experience developing marketplace applications for several users 
  • Prior domain experience in energy, climate change, or sustainability is a huge plus
