Job description

A US-based company active in the real estate industry is looking for a full-stack developer. The selected developer will be responsible for delivering small to medium projects and features for the company's applications. The selected candidate also will work on writing a full suite of automated tests with every new feature. The company is focused on providing top-performing agents and teams to elevate customers' experiences. The company is backed by top-tier venture capital firms and has raised over $200mn in funding so far. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate with experienced industry professionals and world-class engineers. This role requires at least 6 hours of time zone overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small to medium projects and add features to the company applications 
  • Write a suite of automated tests with new features and fix bugs to ensure production stability 
  • Evaluate and articulate end-to-end designs for strengths and weaknesses
  • Identify tech debt and make recommendations to tackle them 
  • Mentor other engineers in designing solutions to problems and communicate with leadership about the needs of the team 
  • Uphold application performance, security, and standard methodologies within the team by providing constructive criticism during code reviews 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of Fullstack Development experience with JavaScript, React, and Node.js
  • Ability to write clean, documented, and well-tested code 
  • Good working understanding of React 16 or 17 
  • Familiarity with the standard methodologies and patterns such as hooks 
  • Experience with unit testing on Jest and end-to-end testing experience on Cypress is a must 
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL, Firebase, Typescript, security best practices is nice to have
