Job description

A fast-emerging startup composed of a tight-knit team of serial entrepreneurs and ex-Bose engineers is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer. As an engineer, you will join a tight-knit team and work closely on a newly produced biometric wearable. The company focuses on achieving results through creativity, passion, team building, and plain old hard work. Candidates who work well individually and collaboratively and are eager to engage in all aspects of the product design are suitable for the job.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and refine them into actionable plans
  • Explain and present hypotheses and analyses clearly and concisely to non-tech team members
  • Participate in every phase of the software development process, right from conception to deployment
  • Offer maintenance and support to software solutions following deployment
  • Oversee and guide cross-platform optimization, including mobile devices
  • Conduct testing and offer feedback to the management for optimized performance  
  • Analyze and modify already existing software solutions
  • Take ownership of the cloud back-end architecture, data pipelines, front-end website development, as well as internal dashboard and data visualization tools

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in building cloud-native web applications with AWS or GCP
  • Strong command over some or all of the following databases, frameworks, libraries, or tools: DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, Cognito, CloudTrail, AWS S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, Datadog, Terraform, Linux, Vault, CloudWatch, GitHub Actions, Stripe, Raspbian
  • Hands-on experience with collaboration tools such as GitHub, GitHub Projects, or Jira
  • Expertise in languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, React, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and Python
  • Knowledge of React Native, Flutter, and Matlab would be a plus
  • Comfortable having opinions/feedback on engineering concepts outside your direct discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
