Full-Stack Software Engineer

A US-based company using advanced machine learning tools to generate insight, inform strategy, and inspire action, is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with defining and optimizing the company’s on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The company is building a comprehensive platform that makes it easy to turn text data into insights for non-programmers. They have managed to raise more than $6.8 mn in funding so far. This will be a full-time long-term position requiring 6+ hours of overlap with the ET time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on graphical, complex models and deep learning systems
• Write performant database code to handle trillions of data points
• Write compact performant data structures
• Develop high-performance machine learning architecture that is horizontally scalable
• Implement and maintain best principles and practices for microservices and test automation initiatives 
• Build scalable and elegant web services
• Embrace DevOps best practices and continuous integration 
• Operate within a small team and provide assistance when needed
• Work alongside front-end engineers to overcome interaction challenges and respond to big data requirements sent by machine learning specialists while managing production outages and deployments 
• Interact with non-technical stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Full Stack engineer
• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Angular
• Adept in Postgres advanced features and internals
• Must be comfortable with writing idiomatic Python
• Proficient in automated deployments with unit as well as integration testing
• Demonstrated experience in Docker, developing and maintaining distributed microservices, and monitoring and debugging live production environments 
• Prior examples of written clean code that consists of excellent design patterns and proven experience in modern development frameworks
• Knowledge of the difference between Agile and Lean and why it’s crucial 
• Must have experience working with ElasticSearch or PostgreSQL and Python
• Must be proficient in JavaScript or Typescript
• Must have knowledge of Continuous Deployment or MicroServices 
• Must be skilled in AWS, GCP, or On-Premise
• Experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, Express, RxJS, Chai, Mocha, and Angular 8+ is compulsory 
• Spoken and written English skills are mandatory
