Job description

A fast-growing company that has engineered a collaborative platform for API development is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer. The engineer will be part of the team in charge of making the APIs produced and consumed by customers detectable. The company's goal is to simplify every step of the API development process and to make collaborations as quick as possible. During the Series-D funding round, they successfully raised more than $6 billion. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a passionate team of engineers while learning from complex engineering challenges.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and own micro-services while working with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, platform engineers, and others
  • Manage the roadmap and service level agreements (SLAs) for the microservices you own
  • Conduct code reviews and advocate for better software engineering practices by mentoring and encouraging others to create high-quality products
  • Create any additional internal tooling required to help with product development and maintenance
  • Create testable, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 3-5 years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at scale is required
  • Must have expertise with Node.js, Python, Ruby, and Go
  • It is advantageous to be familiar with Javascript, Node.js, and React.js
  • A solid understanding of web fundamentals is required
  • Strong knowledge of database fundamentals, particularly performance aspects such as query optimization, schema design, indexing, and caching, should be present
  • Prior experience with cloud computing and distributed systems
  • Algorithms, networking, and operating system knowledge, as well as familiarity with various JavaScript tools, frameworks, and development practices, are required
  • Previous experience with search systems and ETL pipelines will be advantageous
  • Experience with ranking, recommendation, and analytics systems is preferred. Experience with NLP, ML algorithms, models, and systems is preferred
