Job description

A leading technology start-up scaling visitor and member engagement for cultural and historic institutions, is looking for a Full Stack, Ruby on Rails Developer. The developer will work on the full development life cycle, including the design, implementation, quality, and release as well as, implementing features on the front-end, APIs, and back-end. The company has produced countless award-winning digital projects over the past decade and is led by one of the featured top American entrepreneurs. Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release
  • Leverage strengths and interests to work on full feature implementation from the front-end, to the API, all the way to the back-end
  • Collaborate with developers to build and deploy features from end to end 
  • Write, review, and test codes 
  • Design, develop and deliver a fully functional product 
  • Troubleshoot, identify and fix bugs while keeping in mind business requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Solid understanding of RESTful systems and the principles of good API design
  • Nice to have sound knowledge of JavaScript, MongoDB, Knockout.js, ES6
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
