Job description

An ed-tech startup leveraging artificial intelligence and mixed reality technologies to help enterprises train their employees is looking for a Full-stack Engineer (RoR, React). The developer will join in the agile development and work within a small team to take the immersive education product to the next level and help users break the communication barrier by learning English more efficiently. The company is focused on incorporating AI & ML on mixed, augmented, and virtual reality platforms to fundamentally redefine how humans communicate, learn, and adapt. They have raised a total of $2.4 mn in funding over 3 rounds. This is a nice opportunity to collaborate on building lasting ed-tech solutions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand product goals and feature requests and translate them into working software
  • Continually improve code quality, performance, and reliability of the software applications
  • Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot to ensure uptime for live system
  • Work with a wide range of systems and technologies and solve problems from end-to-end
  • Diagnose and fix bugs in the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience building RESTful Services/APIs using Ruby on Rails
  • Experience building front-end web applications using React.js
  • Experience with data modeling and working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, etc.
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms (SASS)
  • Experience with team development using Git
  • Good communication in English and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across the team
  • Nice to have prior experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS) 
  • Knowledge of other back-end technologies like Node.js and Go is nice to have
  • Experience working in mini/microservices architecture is an added advantage
  • Passion for AI/ML technologies is a bonus
