Job description

A U.S.-based company developing an online document management solution for businesses is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for communicating requirements and collaborating with the product owners, management, and development teams. The company offers a quick, simple, and safe method for transferring paper documents, PDFs, and digital files into a team-based searchable system. This position requires some overlap with the PST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate ideas and designs into performant, reliable, and well-documented code
  • Revise and improve legacy code and modify the overall application 
  • Perform and receive code reviews, and give and take constructive feedback 
  • Support sales and support staff with technical insights and ideas
  • Keep abreast of new tools, best practices, and current trends and technologies 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience in PHP and MySQL
  • Prolific experience in MVC and JavaScript
  • Nice to have experience in Nginx, Linux, and Git
  • A minimum of 1+ years of web development experience
  • Familiarity with MVC applications and revision control systems
  • Ability to write following the style guide and architectural conventions
  • Experience developing and maintaining projects on a standard LEMP stack
  • Experience writing both object-oriented and procedural PHP
  • Experience starting projects from scratch and jumping into an existing codebase
  • Nice to have experience with vanilla JavaScript
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
