Job description

A rapidly-growing tech startup revolutionizing how home services are provided is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing enterprise-scale full-stack solutions and systems with a significant impact. The company has a profound knowledge of the workings of small businesses and special insights into the local marketing, technology, etc., required to disrupt the home services industry. The company has managed to raise more than $10mn in funding so far. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and build web applications by turning wireframes into effective codes
  • Work through the complete software development lifecycle, from scratch to launch
  • Design user-based interactions through an impactful front-end architecture framework
  • Develop functional databases, applications, and servers
  • Code for various platforms to ensure functionality across multiple channels
  • Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
  • Manage database administration and hosting responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot issues and solve problems where needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise-level software or on-demand services apps (Uber, Doordash, Instacart alike)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
  • Experience building, leading, and architecting full-stack products and systems at an enterprise scale with a big impact
  • Proficiency in design, implementation, and testing of RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React and Node.js
  • Proficiency with Non-SQL and Transactional databases
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and the software frameworks
  • Proficiency with Web technologies, debugging, and performance tuning
  • Experience with highly scalable and high availability architectures/systems
  • Familiar with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence
  • Ability to work with a distributed team and lead the team to deliver project results
  • Tech leadership to train/mentor team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Result-driven with attention to detail
  • DevOps experience is a plus
  • Fluent with agile development framework is nice to have
  • Experience building a highly functioning engineering team from scratch is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
