Job description

An NYSE-listed company determined to provide customers with world-class apparel and retail solutions is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer will be interacting with the senior executive team and company founders to build scalable and relevant solutions. The premium lifestyle brand is creating a go-to online platform that encourages people to discover next-generation fashion by offering an engaging customer experience from a diverse yet well-curated selection. Job Responsibilities:

  • Code applications from ideation to production in an extreme programming environment
  • Work independently to ensure the optimization of high volume transactional enterprise websites 
  • Develop internal software to automate and integrate business procedures
  • Work on multiple projects throughout the business and transition from one project to the next 
  • Participate in daily scrums during sprints 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Extensive experience in Java, JSP, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML
  • Solid understanding of software layers and ability to enhance processes within the technology platform - Linux/Tomcat/MySQL/Java/JSP/HTML/JavaScript/AJAX/Object-Relational Mapping/Direct SQL
  • Working knowledge of Spring, Redis, MongoDB, and Redshift 
  • Passionate about building a scalable, fast system that reinvents how people shop online
  • Solid understanding of business requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AJAX, Tomcat, MySQL, and Linux is a plus
  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment in quick iterative development cycles
  • Excellent English communication, written and spoken
