Job description

A rapidly-growing startup providing controls designs and UI to customers that are largely in the cannabis space is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for owning, developing, and executing high-level initiatives while working in an autonomous environment. The agriculture controls company specializes in industrial automation of the agricultural process and helps customers to grow their plants in a better, more profitable manner. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation through prototyping and rapid iterative development
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software applications 
  • Work in an Agile environment to develop, test, deploy, debug, build, and maintain highly responsive applications
  • Analyze requirements and create appropriate software architecture

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer 
  • Prolific experience in JavaScript, NodeJS, React OR Angular, Restful APIs
  • Nice to have experience in Docker, MQTT, and loT
  • Solid understanding of data communication protocols and platforms including OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Raspberry PI, BACnet, SDI-12, etc. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Docker and familiarity with IoT
  • Experience in server-side JavaScript development using Node.js, web sockets, and browser debugging
  • Demonstrable experience in client-side JavaScript development including React or Angular Framework for customer facing UI Applications
  • Integration of RESTful APIs
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
