Job description

A fast-growing company that aims to resolve pre-existing issues in the supply chain and prioritize the digitization of the industry is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will manage a wide range of systems and technologies and solve problems from end to end. The company aims to bring about visibility into global agri-food supply chains and navigate through complex and fragmented trade in emerging markets where most crops are grown. Developers who love to jump into a new problem, learn what’s needed, and solve it are perfect for this position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Scale the existing team and bring the product to the public
  • Be comfortable about going from v1 to v2 of the web app and have a clear roadmap and tight timeline to do so
  • Work closely with the CEO to implement the scoped design changes and updates
  • Design and build the components, flows, and interfaces that form our core supply chain management web app
  • Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code that scales to support an increasing number of users, features, business requirements, partners, and engineers
  • Establish robust testing and deployment frameworks
  • Analyze, debug, and fix performance and correctness issues
  • Finalize the user onboarding flow and the payments flow
  • Provide regular database updates to support account levels
  • Add event logging and automations and templates
  • Write well-documented and well-tested code
  • Prepare the platform for monetization and scale

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Prolific experience with PHP, SQL databases, Github, HTML, and CSS
  • Proficiency in at least one other programming language
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Prior experience working with CodeIgniter
  • Knowledge of LAMP tech stack like Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP
  • Ability to work independently without being micromanaged
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
