Job description

An NYC-based company building an AI-powered investing app is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join the team. The engineer will contribute to developing the application, making it easy for people to maximize returns, invest in trends, and grow their money effortlessly. The company focuses on facilitating a personal wealth movement, using artificial intelligence and advanced quantitative techniques to transform the investment space. This will be a full-time long-term opportunity requiring an overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure quality by performing thorough testing and leveraging peer reviews 
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software applications
  • Take ownership of your tasks and see features through from start to finish

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React Native
  • Conversant with API Design - Restful API, back-end-based in Ruby on Rails
  • Exposure and a good understanding of the UI design process
  • Nice to have some previous startup experience 
  • Ability to work with great flexibility and a high level of autonomy
  • Experience with Microservices and handling system-level issues
  • Knowledge of Event-Driven Development
