Job description

A fast-growing digital platform used by millions of micro-businesses and backed by top VCs is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. The Forbes-listed startup has successfully built a digital ledger that tracks bookkeeping and credit collection. They have raised more than $12mn in funding during their Seed round. This is a nice opportunity for developers who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Execute sound security and data protection practices
Integrate data storage solutions
Create database designs that represent and support business processes

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, and React Native frameworks
Strong ability with MongoDB - Mongoose, and Express.js
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3
Familiarity with accessibility and security compliance
Strong understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Nice to have some knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git
Solid understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
Experience with automated testing suites
Architecting experience would be a bonus
Experience with financial services and fintech would be desirable
Experience in integrating, designing, and managing 3rd party APIs would be nice to have
