Job description

A US-based company that designs and manufactures unique decorative lighting for high-end homes and hotels is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. The company's handcrafted products rival the highest quality fixtures across the world. This will be a long-term, full-time opportunity for the selected candidate to collaborate on building elegant products. It requires some overlap with the (Mexico) CST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of all aspects of software design and engineering           
  • Continuously enhance the codebase and skill sets of the team
  • Create, maintain, test, and debug applications
  • Design and develop software applications across the full-stack of the application, from database and back-end APIs to front-end web-based user interfaces
  • Monitor the technical performance of internal systems
  • Seek out opportunities to improve the systems and infrastructure
  • Promote DevOps, Agile, and Lean principles within the team
  • Contribute actively in a highly collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with the internal consumers on application features and specifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4-10+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Python
  • Experience with designing, creating, and consuming APIs
  • Nice to have some familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, CSS, HTML5, and SQL
  • Showcase expertise in being detail-oriented to ensure top quality work
  • Capable of adhering to instructions and mentoring others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen on learning new technologies
