Job description

A US-based company developing a SaaS cloud platform for integrated artificial intelligence is looking for a Full-stack Engineer. The developer will primarily be responsible for the continued development of user-facing and server-side components on the flagship products. The platform is powered by cutting-edge, patent-pending technology, capable of consuming both structured and unstructured data as well as training models in real-time. The selected candidate will ensure robust, secure, modular, maintainable code and documentation, while coordinating with other team members, including the back-end developers and UX/UI designers. The job offers an excellent opportunity for those who would like to grow rapidly in their careers. It is a full-time, long-term position that requires at least 4+ hours of overlap with EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop user-facing applications using Vue.Js and Express
  • Build modular and reusable components and libraries
  • Optimize the applications for performance
  • Implement automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows
  • Stay informed of all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.js space
  • Monitor security updates and issues found with Vue.js and other related project dependencies
  • Propose necessary upgrades and updates to keep up with modern security and development best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant full-stack engineering experience
  • Ability to identify, solve problems and communicate effectively
  • Sound expertise with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features
  • Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
  • Prolific experience with Node.js and AWS (Solutions Architecture and administration)
  • Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js
  • Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including Amazon Web Services and common concerns of production deployments
  • Understanding of PostgreSQL, its configuration, and use with NodeJS
  • Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms
  • Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code
  • Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
  • Proficiency with modern development tools, like Git and Webpack
  • Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs, as well as serverless applications
