Job description

A VC-backed health-tech company that uses integrated and unified workflow to analyze hundreds of data sources to produce improved patient care, is looking for a Full-stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for leading large projects from design to deployment. The company has managed to raise around $50 mn in funding so far and is among the fastest-growing PBMs in the country. The firm is leading the transformation of the pharmacy benefits industry and enables seamless access to medication at the best prices to patients, unlocking enduring social change. This is a nice opportunity for those who are able to work independently and also coordinate with various data and engineering teams while building out the required software solution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead large projects starting with designing to release
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to meet pre-implementation product requirements 
  • Work closely with developers to devise reliable and consistent  APIs for different services to support easy API-based front-end interaction
  • Mentor and provide guidance to developers on best practices of stateful application framework (React/Redux) and serverless, cloud-based application paradigm (Flask/AWS Lambda/ECS)
  • Take informed and business-oriented decisions for architectural choices based on past proven solutions
  • Work in an agile/Scrum environment to ensure streamlined delivery of features to internal stakeholders and clients

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience with a broad range of technical skills
  • Experience in working with technologies like React, Redux, and Python
  • Knowledge of developing applications with AWS (AWS Lambda, Cogito, API Gateway, SMS & ECS)
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing across multiple paradigms
  • Knowledge of PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Manager) is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of typing and gradual typing using technologies like TypeScript, Flow, and Pyre is essential
  • Past experience in delivering complex web apps to the cloud 
  • Good knowledge of working with microservices/API-based application paradigms and mono-repository is preferred
  • Strong coding skills using Git
  • Ability to work independently and produce quick results
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
