Job description

A fast-emerging AI-based start-up building mobile apps to learn English is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building out the internal tools, troubleshooting existing systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and more. The company is backed by some of the most prestigious investors in the world including Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Matrix, etc. and has been featured and selected by Apple as their "App of The Day"​ and "Best New App". This is a rare chance to collaborate in an exciting and challenging environment that encourages independent thinking, problem-solving, and growth. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build out the internal tools 
  • Troubleshoot existing systems and re-build them
  • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end web architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Build scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to identify and troubleshoot bugs in the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant full-stack development experience 
  • Proficient with JavaScript stack 
  • Experience with React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with internal web apps and tooling
  • Experience working at a CA or US-based startup
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
