Job description

A leading software company providing cloud-based solutions for school districts to build and manage websites is looking for a Full-stack Engineer. As a member of the engineering team, you will contribute efforts to support and grow the products by delivering new features for the customers. The company has built a portfolio of software solutions ranging from an Enterprise Content Management System to a suite of Online Payments solutions. This is a full-time, long-term position for the selected candidate to join a fast-growing team and develop innovative solutions for the education sector.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement new front-end and back-end functionalities
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads and teams to architect and design new technical solutions
  • Work closely with the Product Managers to deliver new customer-facing product features
  • Take operational responsibility and own components

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of practical experience with a server-side programming language such as Java, Node.js, Python, Golang
  • 4+ years of JavaScript programming experience, testing, and debugging techniques, including HTML/CSS
  • Experience working with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Experience with front-end JS frameworks (React/Angular) and the Linux command line 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Experience developing with Java 8+, Kotlin, and Spring is nice to have 
  • Experience with Java Server Pages (JSP) and web application servers (Apache Tomcat) is a bonus
  • Experience with Java build tools (Gradle/Maven/Ant) and unit testing (JUnit, Mocha) 
  • Experience with Node.js and related technologies is nice to have
  • Familiarity with the AWS toolset (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, ECS, CloudFront) is preferred
  • Familiarity with designing and building RESTful APIs 
  • Prior experience with scripting languages (Perl/Python/Bash) is preferred
  • Proficiency in other technologies such as ES6, TypeScript, Git, GraphQL, Docker, Memcache, Redis, ElasticSearch, Vagrant, Jenkins is a bonus
